OOTDs are probably some of my favourite blog posts to read, though sadly I found it so difficult composing one; I had to put my camera on self timer, I couldn't take the photos outside because we're having torrential rain at the moment in Liverpool, and the only part of my house that gets any good natural light is in front of my bedroom door. On top of that I couldn't find a way to photograph my shoes or jewellery within full outfit pictures, so sorry just to paste them unprofessionally onto the end of the post: I'm not good at this yet, okay. I promise I'll try harder.

Enough of the excuses: I'm 'trialing' clothing that I'm planning on wearing out to Leicester freshers in two weeks time. I treat going away to any city as if I'm going NYFW, and visiting my best friend's university is no exception to this. The crop top and skirt are new: I picked them up in Leeds a couple of weeks ago, but everything else has been bought over the course of the past two years.

My Vivienne Westwood bag is pretty much my most prized possession, and true fact, I actually bought it with my first ever paycheque back in 2011. Vivienne Westwood is pretty much my favourite designer/brand in the entire world: if it has the logo on, I'm a whore for it. The glasses are sadly real; I usually wear contacts, but these Morrissey glasses were my first pair of 'fashion' glasses my mum allowed me to wear, in homage to my favourite Mancunian. This is the main reason why the outfit post is entitled 'velvet goth', as at the time I got the glasses I was a true goth, and answered most questions directed towards me with either a My Chemical Romance or Evanescence lyric. Deep.

Let me know if you liked this OOTD post, and whether you'd like to see more of them or not! If the demand is there, I will deliver.

Hope you've had a lovely start to the week,
